NB organic hops in demand

Ashley Durdle was harvesting organic hops Aug. 30 on his 16-hectare farm near Anagance, New Brunswick.

The Happy Hopyard co-owner told CBC News that Atlantic microbrewers were very interested in his crop.

Durdle was uncertain whether the harvest would be large enough to meet the demand because while insects had not been a problem this year, he could not control the weeds.
