MacKay brings a wealth of nutritional and promotional experience to the role.
As a registered dietitian, her knowledge of healthy eating will enable her to promote the importance of making eggs a valuable part of everyone’s diet.
“MacKay’s previous work experience as a nutrition educator for Dairy Farmers of Canada, and as an events coordinator for the P.E.I. Association of Exhibitions means she is well suited to help our team deliver its goals of representing the registered egg farmers of P.E.I. and promoting our eggcellent product,” says a news release.
MacKay says she’s excited about her new role.
“Apart from my family, my two greatest passions are cooking and socializing. I’m a big believer in the importance of having a balanced diet that includes a lot of variety and a lot of fun. Eggs are a great example of a food that you can have for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the idea of promoting a product that adds nutritional value and brings people together at meal time is a perfect match for me”.
The Egg Producers’ marketing program includes advertising, education awareness and community involvement.
