Jamie Simpson, the Nova Scotia Forestry Program Coordinator at the Ecology Action Centre will speak at ‘Biomass or Biomassacre? A Critical Look at Using Our Forest for Energy’, May 31 at the Loyola Academic Complex (Loyola 170), Saint Mary's University.

The free public discussion will be about forest biomass and how it fits into the Nova Scotia Power Inc.-New Page deal, and the province’s New Renewable Energy Plan.

The event will run from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the University located at 923 Robie St. in Halifax.
