Eastwood to compete as Speaker for Agriculture

Audrey Eastwood has been chosen to represent New Brunswick at the 2010 Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture Competition at the Royal Agriculture Winter Fair in Toronto, Ontario on Nov. 6 as part of the fairs Youth Weekend.

Eastwood has been involved in the 4-H program in NB for eight years as a member of the Triangle 4-H Club in the Central Hampstead area achieving in various 4-H projects.  Over that period of time she has also attended many club, district and provincial programs and activities.  

The Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture Competition brings together youth from across the country to speak and share their opinions, ideas and concerns about the agri-food industry in a five to seven-minute prepared speech. This event helps emerging leaders to hone their communication skills and spread the message about the value of Canadian agriculture. Eastwood’s topic will be “Who will feed the world in 50 years?”
