Beef bbq tradition returning to Upper Stewiacke

[Upper Stewiacke, NS]- A popular beef barbecue is returning to Upper Stewiacke (Nova Scotia) this month.

The 15th annual event will take place at the O'Connell family farm, located at 4180 289 Upper Stewiacke, from 1 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 26.

The barbecue will offer shaved beef on a bun, homemade French fries, garden fresh garnishes, homemade desserts and beverages. Takeouts will be available.

There will also be musical entertainment all day and a chance to see the farm pets as well.

Adults will be charged $12 and children younger than 10 will be charged $6. Children under the age of four get in for free.

Proceeds will go to the Colchester County 4-H Scholarship Fund and more information can be obtained by calling 671-2148 or 890-7756.
